Tax Preparation

COVID-19 INFORMATION

For the safety of our staff as well as our clients, JP & Partners, LLC will not be scheduling appointments in our office this tax season.  During tax season our firm experiences dozens of clients coming in and out of the office each day and we are not willing to take any risks.  For those clients who had their returns prepared in the office, we have implemented a simple and easy way to have your tax returns prepared while keeping the face-to-face appointment experience.  This appointment is called "BOOK A VIRTUAL APPOINTMENT VIA ZOOM OR CONFERENCE CALL."

***Read the details under each of the three ways to have your taxes prepared before clicking the button to book your virtual appointment.  You may be interested in the other two ways to have your taxes prepared.  If you choose to have your taxes done by uploading, mailing, or dropping off your documents, you will receive a call from our office to verbally go over the results of the return.  Our policy is to contact each client when their return is complete to be sure the results are delivered verbally by the preparer.  This call will be approximately 15 minutes.  If it is determined that more time is needed, the preparer will either continue the call or schedule another call at a later time.

WAYS TO HAVE YOUR TAXES PREPARED:

UPLOAD YOUR DOCUMENTS AND WE DO THE REST

Returning Clients – You should already have access to your portal. Once you make your first upload of documents our office will reach out to confirm whether you would need more time to upload additional documents or if you have uploaded all documents to then have us prepare your tax return. Once we are complete with your return, we will contact you via phone and discuss your results and next steps to sign all necessary forms.

New Clients – You will need to call our office to schedule a 20-minute phone consultation so we can register you for the portal. During the consultation, we will advise on next steps.

DROP OFF OR MAIL YOUR DOCUMENTS AND WE DO THE REST

Returning Clients – We ask that you mail or drop off your tax documents once you have gathered all information to prepare a complete return. If there are one or two documents that have not been received on your end, please mail or drop off what you have gathered, and we will complete the return once you provide us with those missing documents. If you decide to drop off the documents, we will have a drop box available right outside the door for your convenience. If you decide to come into our office, you must wear a mask.

New Clients – You will need to call our office to schedule a 20-minute consultation so we can onboard you before you drop off or mail your tax documents. During the consultation, we will advise on next steps.

BOOK A VIRTUAL APPOINTMENT VIA ZOOM OR CONFERENCE CALL

Returning Clients – This option is no different than prior years, except that you will not be coming into the office for an appointment, you will be receiving a Zoom call or Phone call to have your taxes prepared as you are in communication with the preparer. If you decide to do a Zoom call, we will send you the link at the time of your appointment via email. If you decide to do a Phone call, we call you at the time of your appointment. Prior to your appointment you will need to upload all your documents to your portal, or you may drop off or mail all your documents prior to your appointment. The documents must be received the day before the appointment. This will allow us to properly prepare for the appointment.

New Clients – Once you book your virtual tax appointment, our office will be notified of the date and time you booked. We will reach out within 24-48 hours to have you register for your portal with JP & Partners, LLC. During the registration process we will discuss next steps.

Virtual appointments via Zoom or Conference Call will only be available Tuesday's and Thursday's.
